Will the Flovella filter work well in any shower?

The FloVella™ shower filter is a universal design, engineered to fit 99% of showers in Australia.

You can screw it onto the pipes or just before your shower head. If your pipes are tight against the wall, you might need a small adapter, but most setups work perfectly as is.

Hard water is water loaded with minerals like calcium and magnesium, plus chlorine and metals picked up from pipes and plumbing. Around 90% of Australian homes have it.

How do i know if i need an adapter for my Flovella filter?

Ensuring your FloVella shower filter fits correctly is important for getting the best results. Here’s a simple way to check whether you’ll need an adapter:

1. Measure Your Clearance:

You’ll need at least 32mm of space from the wall to the center point where the top of the filter will sit. This is the minimum clearance required for the filter to fit comfortably.

2. Check Your Setup:

Use a ruler or tape measure to measure the distance from the wall to the center of your current shower arm connection.

  • If the measurement is less than 32mm, you’ll need a pivoting adapter to install the filter properly.
  • If it’s 32mm or more, you’re good to go.

Will the water pressure decrease?

How do I use this shower filter?

  1. Unscrew your shower head from the shower arm.
  2. Wrap the shower arm threads with Teflon tape (included) to prevent leaks.
  3. Twist your FloVella filter onto the shower arm until it’s snug and secure.
  4. Insert the filter cartridge inside the FloVella housing.
  5. Tighten the FloVella housing back together until fully sealed.
  6. Reattach your shower head onto the FloVella filter.
  7. Turn on the water for 30–60 seconds to flush and activate the system.
  8. Enjoy a cleaner, softer, low-chemical shower from the very first rinse.
